Surprisingly, some servers have these on the motherboard. If this is the case, pray it never fails.

That can come in very handy. Excuses for downtime are narrowing down to just Windows crashes, and hacks. With good security, downtime due to hacks are rare, and if you use something other than windows... Seems to me, we may soon see the day when a server runs for 10-15 years without stopping while its "body" changes around it.

Also nice. This has a dual advantage. If one fails, you can keep running, but also it means you can use separate UPS's in case one of them fails.

That will go down quickly enough. I'm surprised there aren't 5gb chips out yet. They shouldn't be that hard to make, there just doesn't seem to be enough demand.
