You can just copy the files for your db and then restore them later. It
might be a good idea to shutdown the db first, copy the files, and then
restart it.. if your especially paranoid. I always just copied them
without shutdown/restart of the db and it worked fine. Makes it easy to
include your db in your normal backups.
There are more precise ways to backup such that you have more error
recovery and such (see the manual) but this is the easiest way to just
backup.
