For DNS I use zoneedit.com for a large number of relatively high traffic
domains. Their web console is excellent and they provide a free service
for your first five domains (up to 200MB of traffic a year - that's
about a million DNS hits)

We use them for primary and secondary DNS and then run a third and
fourth slave DNS server on our own boxes, but I can only think of once
in a few years that neither of the zoneedit DNS servers have routed, and
that was probably for < 1 hour. They offer third and fourth DNS servers
at a cost, as well as backup mail and other such fun things.
