Try a different DHCP client if the one that comes with Red Hat doesn't
work. This was a big problem on campus, and for a while Red Hat users had
to use a really old version of pump.
I would verify that you have a correct chipset/driver pairing. Beyond
that, if you're sure that your card is peachy, run netconfig. As root...
/etc/init.d/network restart
will kill and reboot your interfaces.
Check your wires, also. Beyond that, if none of this works maybe someone
else will or I'll think of something.
