Hi,
On Friday I installed SuSE Linux ver. 8.1 on my slave hard drive. It was
working ok and booted up the second time and last night I closed out of
Linux just fine. This morning I cannot get Linux to boot up, it goes through
the steps and stalls at:
'starting hot plugging services [ net pci usb..'
At this point the boot up stops and the caps & scroll lock keyboard keys are
blinking and nothing more continues.
I tried inserting disk 1 and opting for the rescue which goes through the
process and then asks for a username and password. I have tried my user name
and log in password and root password but cannot log in to rescue.
Does anyone know what I can do at this point outside of trying a reinstall.
I tried booting to safe linux and got the same result. I can still boot up
to my Windows OS on the master drive just fine. Only the linux drive is
affected.
Thank you for your help,
Doran
