I don't really see the purpose of versions for Linux distros. I mean
really you can upgrade any of the individual parts without upgrading.. or
al of them. So why do we need false breaks that create trouble with
upgrading? I'd rather just use a build id for the distro. RedHat
2003-03-04.1 etc. Much more practical.

Building your own distro is sort of fun though. I've been experimenting
with Morphix. Sort of a sub-Knoppix distro meant for designing your own
distro.
