You can do it but it's a really bad idea from a security prospective. I
know that Windows and MacOS both think this is a swell idea but you don't
really want random programs running automaticly. Sure it'd be fine for the
one you wrote for yourself but it'd open you up to trouble if you happened
to insert a disc from anyone else.
If you still want to proceed look for the 'autorun' program for Linux. It
might be installed already. It often comes in it's own RPM. For details
read the documentation for autorun.
