Actually installing Knoppix on the computer is possible (obviously, they
have to be able to develop it) but its kind of a hack and not user
friendly at all.
What about .wav or .mp3 files?
I have to say, that Knoppix is in fact Hella-Cool, and I would reccommend
it to anyone. My Gentoo Linux died due to hard drive trouble, and I was
able to have a mostly functioning computer (meaning, I could browse the
web, watch DivX, and SSH into MLUG) until I had the time to do a
reinstall using Knoppix. It also aided in the recovery itself.
Currently I haven't gotten my CD-R working in Gentoo, but in Knoppix its
no problem so when I needed to burn an anime CD-RW the other day, I just
booted it up.
