I recommend 3ware as well.  At my old job I set up a bunch of machines 
with them and we haven't had a spot of trouble.  The only problems we 
had were a couple drives going south, and the 3wares took it in stride.

Is the Highpoint RocketRAID a real hardware RAID controller?  From the 
looks of it, it is not.  It also does 8 drives on 4 IDE channels, 
lowering performance.  3wares have always used just one drive per 
channel, and for good reason.
