Hi and a Merry Monday to all! :P

I got a problem... Hoping some of you folks might have some suggestions:

We run a Community Information Network down here in rural Irondale,
MO.... We have a Cisco 3600 router with 2 modempool cards of 16 modems
each, and offer Internet dialup as one of our services.

As of a month or so, some of our dialup users are connecting at 21.x
bps, and others at 33.6 bps. We're really needing a tool that will
automatically dial all the unpublished phone numbers (instead of the
rollover number) to test individually each modem, and record the connect
speed.

What I am looking for is a linux script (or even a windows tool, I'm not
picky) that will run the test on each phone number/modem duo several
times, and output the connection speeds into a report.

Sourceforge.org is coming up with a blank.. grrr

I've searched for "War dialers" and "Modem pool testers" without much
luck.

We're trying to isolate the problem- is it our modem pool? Is it the
phone company? Is it the lines coming from the punch block to the modem
pool? Questions like these are what we are trying to answer.

Thanks very much!

Tim Smith
