I guess that depends by what you mean programming in Windows. I can find a
lib that works equally well under Windows and Linux and write my program
to work with it rather than some other non-portable lib. Any Linux
programmer should be able to do that. Portability is only hard for Windows
programmers. On the other hand if you mean using Visual Basic or even
Visual C++ I think I'd rather jump off a ferry. It seems a bit stupid to
need a certificate saying you can use an OS that is designed to be so
simple a chimp can use it but I get your point. I considered getting all
those Microsoft certs but damn they are expensive.  You have to get paid a
lot to earn back your investment. The collection of certs I probably need
to get cost more than I make in a year or two. :)
