Okay, if I'm on MLUG and I type in

host mlug.missouri.edu

it spits out an IP. If the DNS server has changed this domain name's IP
assignment, how do I query that server? Furthermore, will the local  DNS
server cache the change?

I'm primarily interested in this because I have URL forwarding set up with
a company and my requests for an address change have failed three times
over the last two weeks.
