Unfortunately I've seen ATM's crash (in New Orleans on vacation) and they
were kind enough to remove my cash from my account without actually giving
me any cash. The kind folks at that bank assured me that no money was
transfered and that it was only flagged as temporarily frozen. Got back
and went to my bank (Bank of America) and not only was the money gone but
they wouldn't even talk to me about it. Was in the middle of one of their
merges and just before the Y2K crap so hard to tell who to properly blame
for it.
