Hey All,
I'm playing with Samba right now. I have two printers that I want to share and restrict access to.
The first printer is an IP based, networkable printer, so that one will be easy to set up.
The second printer is a HP laserprinter that is attached via a parallel port to a win98 workstation.
I know how to share the IP based printer with Samba, but not the parallel port based printer. I know I can "share" the printer with settings on the workstation, but is there any way to link that in with a Samba share?
Also, is there an easy way to restrict access to both of these printers by username?
