People with the right tools can extract the bits that were contained
several times back. Paranoid people usually rewrite the drive something
like seven times. If these are business computers with important private
information on them I'd say it'd be worth the extra paranoia. I have seen
returned hdd's show back up being resold with the original owners data
plainly visible on them.
