Thanks for that info.  Here's a question:  What good is it to have these
functions integrated into one program?

For example, I use MeetingMaker for meetings, sendmail/pine/procmail for
e-mail, and LDAP for some of my contact information (much is stored in
pine addressbooks).  Meetingmaker can send an e-mail.  Pine can use LDAP
to look up e-mail addresses.  Why would I want all of these to be in one
big program?

I really would like to know about the advantages of integration because I
would like to be able to make sensible recommendations for software
purchases in our division at U Minnesota.
