I tried oms, but I guess that the DMCA got a hold of them, I tried and
tried, but I could never get the silly thing configured. I used Lord of
the Rings as a test for xine, but I caould never get it to go to the
movie. There is some sort of Windoze multimedia package that runs when
you mount it on the PC side of the house. The rest of the files, xine
new nothing about and wouldn't open them. :-\
Maybe I should try another disk :-D

I think VideoLAN client will do it as well. I use Ogle under Debian on
my iMac, and it works fine. Nobody wants to include the library for CSS
(damn DMCA), so you'll have to go get that separately for all of them, I
believe.
On a related note, I use VideoLAN client to watch Divx-encoded videos
(most .avi files you'll find on filesharing clients these days).
