Sorry; I was unclear back there (to the point of being incoherent...).
I was more thinking about the MS Word standard rather than Exchange.
When I got here, I was told that the official policy was that electronic
documents given to staff had to be in MS formats. On paper, that also
might have been the result of some formal evaluation, but in reality , it
was more likely the result of the fact that every chairperson's secretary
wanted it that way, so...
