I can't seem to get some USB devices to work. I'm trying a mouse and a CD-writer
right now. When I plug in the mouse, I get:

I'm using Debian Woody with a custom-compiled 2.4.18 kernel. You can see my
kernel config at: http://mad.chickenkiller.com/config-2.4.18-sputnik
Is there perhaps something I could add to modules.conf, another package I need,
or have I left out some option in the kernel? Anyone tackled this before? I'm
hoping so. All I find on Google are people asking the same question -- with no
replies.
