[MLUG] NFS: Port mapper failure

Hi all,
I got configured nfs server on my linux machine to remotely mount my linux 
directories. I edited and included the clients in /etc/exports with no 
mistake, also I started portmapper and all services used for running nfs, now 
when try to mount from the client, it says:

mount: RPC: Port mapper failure - RPC: Unable to receive

My client here is Mac OS X and does support nfs.  I
Will any problem with nfs lock arise, as when it boots it starts nfs lock and 
status OK. If so, where is the lock file of nfs or how can i remove the nfs 
lock.

Any suggestions,
