Ugh. Yuck. Hate HTML-coded mail. Just hate it.
Ok, after this exclamation, back to normal. Why do we have to have coded mail
anyway? Has anybody ever experienced that the message was enhanced in any
way? Not just by the unnecessary addition of fancy fonts and background
colors? KMail (which I use) can handle both, but I have never seen this as an
improvement over plain-text.
And, yes, once you ssh into a remote machine and use pine, you are lost in
the garbage. And garbage it is, because some hand-coded html would still be
acceptable, but the M$ WORD-style output (tons of control elements per
printable character) is just clutter.
