Just FYI, I am headed back to 7.3 X has crashed twice already, and Mozilla crashes on start-up. I don't think that this is stable enough to suite my needs yet, I'll be waiting for 8.1 as well. I have 5 8.0 disks over here if anyone is interested.
thank goodness I didn't buy this thing out of the box :-\

I've 8.0 on a spare workstation here... is there any real reason other 
than eye-candy to move from 7.3 to 8.0.  Nope.  Not yet.  Infact I'd agree 
with Neil (and others) to stick with 7.3 until 8.1 comes out or a few 
months pass.
