Subject: [MLUG] Problems connecting to new server - Apache
I'm running out of ideas here and thought you all could help me figure a couple of things out. We've got a new Red Hat 7.3 server here and I'm having problems connecting to it through a browser. I'm able to ping the server from another machine without any problems. Apache starts up fine and if I go into mozilla and type in either 'localhost' or 'test.sfa.missouri.edu' I get the standard Apache successful test page. However, if I try to type in 'test.sfa.missouri.edu' from any outside machine, DNS resolves the IP address (128.206.175.210) but cannot find the server (standard 'The page cannot be displayed'.) This is a fresh install of RedHat and Apache 1.3 (RPM.)
I've attached my httpd.conf, network and ifcfg-eth0 files. I've checked all of the network settings (that I could find) and they all seem to match the settings from the current server. Let me know if you have any ideas or need anything else to help me out.
Thanks,
Mike
