The way I've always done is run 'testparm' and capture its output into a file,
sort it, then go through it while reading the parameter descriptions from 'man
smb.conf'. I actually only had to do it once, then reuse the same conf file
over and over. All of the parameters Samba cares about end up in the captured
file, and a person can comment out blank and unneeded parameters and change
the needed ones appropriately. Admittedly, it's a hard way to do it, but you
only do it once and learn things along the way :)
