I ran the server for a couple years before I gradudated.
It's still active, and still hosts many organization web pages. It's been
in kind of a state of transition for awhile now, with leadership coming
and going.
The current contact is Sean Tempesta, EMAIL:PROTECTED You
might or might not have better luck emailing EMAIL:PROTECTED
their "help desk" address watched by more people.
I suspect what happened is your girlfriend's app was forgotten about as
leadership changed last spring. They're usually quite good about getting
new accounts set up quickly, and I'm sure they can get her organization up
(assuming it's registered & up to date with SOAC/MSA).
The site runs RedHat linux. The homepage currently uses PHPNuke, though
it gets redesigned fairly often.
