I hope the problem doesn't continue, because this particular Linksys 
device has become one of my favorite piece of equipment.  Noiseless, 
useful, never fails (well, until now), and, of course, it has nice 
blinkenlights.  As best as I can tell, the only thing that was going 
wrong here was that it was refusing to give out new IP addresses via 
dhcp (that which had an address was connected and working just 
fine).  There appears to be a firmware upgrade on the linksys site, 
but that will apparently require an intricate routine involving a 
Windows box (since the Mac is explicitly not supported, and I don't
think I know of a download tool for this that works with LInux).
