Are you going to be backing up only 650mb of it, or closer to the full 30gb?
If you're backing up over two CD's worth, it can get rather irritating
backing it up. If you spend, say, $100 on a CD-R/CD-RW, you'll be spending
about 20 mins per 650mb, then the additional cost of about $.50 each CD, or
$.25 if you buy in bulk. If you buy a CD-RW disk for writing over backups
beyond a certain point, its hard to find a CD-RW of any speed, so you're
probably talking 40 mins per 650mb then. Your total cost may go down, but
if you count man-hours working with it, and the runtime used by the CD-R
drive, it's worth it to get a tape drive for backups, again, if it's over 2
CD's worth.
