Under OS X, you just use ssh, which is already there. Just one of about
8,000 reasons to use OS X on your Mac if you possibly can. Under OS 9,
things used to be a bit more tricky, particularly given the encryption
importation weirdness that has only recently calmed down. I believe I got
mine via a package called "niftytelnet", from the Swedes:

    www.lysator.liu.se/~jonasw/freeware/niftyssh/

This worked okay, but OS X is vastly preferable. Having just searched
google for macintosh ssh, I also saw:

    http://pro.wanadoo.fr/chombier/

Which points towards Macssh, another hacked up telnet with ssh2 support
built in. I hope this helps...
