General AMD Athlon XP Processor Specifications Model Number Operating
Frequency (MHz) Nominal Voltage Max Die Temperature
1500+ 1333 1.75V 90 Degrees Celsius
1600+ 1400
1700+ 1467
1800+ 1533
1900+ 1600
2000+ 1667
2100+ 1733
2200+ 1800 1.65V 85 Degrees Celsius
So as you see it is 90 degrees Celsius by AMD"s own standards. I got
this information at:

Subject: [MLUG] AMD Athlon XP Safe Temperature Range?
Hey all,
Does anyone know what the safe temperature range for an AMD Athlon XP
is?
In particular, I'm wondering about the 1500+ 1.33 Mhz.
I've downloaded PDF after PDF off AMD's web site, and I read the "Very
Hot
Athlon 2000, what to do" thread we had a while back. I believe that the
processor has a die temperature of 90 degrees C, but I'm wondering when
it
approaches a range where system stability is in question. I've seen
overclocked Celerons shut down before, and it's not fun.
>From what I can gather, AMD doesn't publish this. If this is the case,
that's pretty shady. I'd like to know how hot my CPU can get before
applications start randomly crashing and lockups occur.
Any help would be appreciated. For kicks, check out some AMD processors
smoking here:

That's a good motivational factor for keeping CPU temperatures under
control :)
Regards,
Neil
