Okay, so here's the new deal (after about ten Mountin Dews):
ppp-on didn't like me at all. So I tried wvdial. It couldn't find my
modem. So then I was like, "Yeah, well take that f**ker!" and I just
snaked an example wvdial.conf file and substituted the port I needed and
my information into it. Then I fired up wvdial. It connected. It
authenticated. Everything's good...
...but then I tried to ping out to anywhere other than the second IP that
ifconfig brings up. Nothing. I check my routing tables. Nothing. I try to
add that second IP to my routing table, and then check it again. Still
nothing on my routing table. I try to flush the routing table and add it
again. Nothing.
I think everyone sees where I'm getting at. I can initalize my modem, dial
into the server, connect, authenticate, and secure a connection. But
nothing's being routed from my linux box to the ppp connection.
Any ideas?
Regards,
Neil
