There are 'kewl' tricks involving stylesheets which I believe are useful, as
long as they don't degrade into something unreadable (meaning you actually
pay attention when your coding).  Fonts, however, should not be 'kewl', but
effective.  If I'm making a header, it should be possible for me to specify
a larger, bold, sans-serif font.  If I'm making long body text, it should be
possible for me to specify a standard size and weight, serif font.  I think
you could reasonably limit "font-face"/"font-family" to serif and
sans-serif, though I would hate to see some idiot out there set his serif
font to a *bats font, then complain about how unreadable my page is.

Yes, though any flat text will do.

Yes.  <ctrl>+<+> doesn't work in netscape or mozilla on my linux box.  I
think this is probably where my problem comes in.

Again, my install seems to be different from yours, I'm not getting those
options.  I am further puzzled though, that the default font setting is
still that unreadable garbage.
