You can code software to be garenteed safe from known problems but there
are always unknowns that you can't predict and that is where opensource
does a good job. Opensource is sort of the extreme version of Extreme
Programming. If more programmers used defined tests and teams with
opensource it could be even better but I'd doubt any claims that closed
source is better. Microsoft sure hasn't done well.
I don't suffer from insanity... I enjoy every minute of it.
