[MLUG] Linux based Internet Appliance

I am looking for an Internet Appliance (email and perhaps web access) for a
relative. This person has never used a computer and is not technically
inclined. The mailstation is about the only one I can find for sale. There
is some information about a linux-based AOL instant access applicance from
Gateway, but it appears that it is no longer offered. And it looks like the
i-opener has gone under (also linux based). Does anyone have experience with
an Internet Appliance that you would recommend??
