[MLUG] mrtg error and setup

I'm getting this error in my mail when running mrtg.  I'm trying to create
a simple bandwidth meter for my machine...

my.ip.address = my machine ip address

And here is my config file in /etc/mrtg/

     WorkDir: /var/www/html/mrtg
     WriteExpires: Yes

     Title[^]: Traffic Analysis for slugcity.com

     Title[skywalker]: My Title my.ip.address
     Target[skywalker]: 2:EMAIL:PROTECTED
     MaxBytes[skywalker]: 128000
     XSize[skywalker]: 600
     YSize[skywalker]: 300
     Options[skywalker]: bits

I'm not getting any data when running the following command and I get the
above nasty e-mail message in my mailbox

# mrtg /etc/mrtg/mrtg.cfg

my webpages are not updating also...I've not touched my snmpd.conf file,
which I've been told I don't have to, but you know how that goes.

any info would be great...
