[MLUG] Speech to Text for Linux?

I'm working with a person who is using a Linux desktop but has some
difficulty controlling a mouse and using the keyboard.  He wants to
write, so we're interested in speech to text.  I noticed that IBM's
ViaVoice Dictation for Linux was just $37.95 with a microphone headset,
so I ordered a copy to play around with, but I was wondering if anyone
out there had any experience in this area and could make any
recommendations.
