[MLUG] Tentative plan for mlug.missouri.edu

Hey All,

 

Adam has been working pretty hard on preping the new machine for the move and I’ve dropped the ball :-)

 

The tentative plan is to move to the new machine on Friday, but not move IP addresses (in part because I’ve not got the DNS move setup with our Networking folks).

 

I think we’d like to do this change mid-afternoon (say 2pm or 3pm) when we are both around.  There will be an outage, but looking at Adam’s todo list, there isn’t alot to do but a few final rsync’s, ip changes and the like.

 

So far, I think this the way we’ll do it.  I don’t expect MLUG to be down for more than 30 minutes at most (maybe I’m being unrealistic, Adam?)
