A colleague's computer died ... older IBM Aptiva ... AMD k62-350 ...
I looked it over, and it looks like the mobo has died. Lights come on,
processor fan spins up, but nothing else happens ... no beeps, no BIOS
messages, no POST, no nothing.
I've taken the computer apart to see what's decent in it.
Here's the deal ... it has a Maxtor 8.4GB hdd, manufactured in 1998. This
can be yours, if you'll go through the drive and burn the data to a CD-ROM
and give me a copy of the CD-ROM. Then, I'll expect you to wipe the drive
clean. PS: Gotta live in Columbia or be willing to meet me to get the drive.
Of course, I can't guarantee that the drive works ... but my suspicion is
that it does.
Any takers? First one that answers the above in the affirmative wins the drive!
