Fifteen years ago I bought my first HD.  It was about $15 per MB for that
drive.  80 GB for $100 is $0.00125 per MB.  That means HD space cost
12,000 times as much 15 years ago as it costs now (not accounting for
inflation which would make the effect even stronger).

An old professor told me that his department paid $66,000 for a HD in
1967.  It was a 2.0 MB HD.  That's $33,000 per MB, which is 2,200 times
the price of 15 years ago and 26,400,000 times the price of today (again,
not accounting for inflation).
