I also skip class and don't do homework. I skip tests and once skipped all
my finals. I'm a horrible student. It really pisses fellow students off
when I still pass.. especially when I get better grades than them. My
roommates in college would give me the most evil looks. I tend to memorize
my text books the first week of class and then just kind of fade in and
out as pleases me. I really liked my electrical engineering professor
though. He knew lots of stuff not easily found in books and would share
the little secrets which kept me in his class on a daily basis. I'd agree
that if you don't know it then cramming isn't going to help much.
Especially as far as long term retention.
(Until my last semester I had decent grades. My break down in the last
semester bombed everything down to F's. :P)
