[MLUG] Anybody know what I am doing wrong with this DBMS on BENGAL!

Well Okay, so Im using perl to access mySQL on bengal but Ive pretty much
being wading through. The only thing is I have no idea how everything is
configured so its messing with my head. So I do this:

/usr/local/mysql_3.23/bin/mysql -u Username -p
Password:PersonalKerberosPasswordOnUMSystem                     <--Not real
password ;)

This is the error I get:

ERROR 2002: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket
'/tmp/mysql.sock' (2)


Is anyone out there using mySQL on bengal presently. I need to get some
tables up and running so I can put content into them for the site because it
is hard to code without knowing how everything works on it so...if you have
had success please email and we can talk. I just dont feel like bothering
some poor sod in OpenSys with my problems (I liek to try and figure them out
myself first) but to tell you the truth I dont get it. Dooley? Please help!
