Ahhh... It's trying to decompress stuff from the CDROM into the CDROM 
directory.  Of course it will fail.  Run it when you are in your home 
directory, as in:
[/root]# /mnt/cdrom/install.wp

I like KWord.  If you don't really need word-processing functions, try Lyx.  
It's a little strange compared to the rest of the programs, but once you get 
used to it, it's very nice.  I like that the output looks very professional, 
like a well-typeset book if you print it on a laser printer.

gnumeric is the single best spreadsheet for Linux.  They even buy you a soda 
if you can crash it.  And you should always start daemons from 
/etc/rc.d/init.d, not just run the executable.
