Does anyone know of a unix program that will remove Macbinar header
information from files? This problem is news to me, but it turns out that
Mac users sometimes inadvertently send files attached to e-mail that have
additional header data added to them. I received a message today with an
attached JPEG file, but the file was corrupted by the added binary
characters. I found an article here that described the problem with
Macbinary files for PC users...

http://www.macdisk.com/macbinen.php3

...and a PC program that I could use to strip the Macbinary header from
the file:

http://www.macdisk.com/en/mcbinary.zip

I ran that program on the jpeg file and it fixed it. Is there a similar
program for linux/unix users? Maybe there is some trick to do it using
some standard utilities.
