At one point I considered a lawsuit against an ISP that gave my account
name to someone else without reason as my email suddenly was going into
that other persons INBOX and I wasn't getting it. IMO ISP's should never
reuse old usernames on systems that have been used to receive email. Doing
so is a privacy and security threat and might possibly open them to legit
legal action.

Forwarding email is so easy that the only polite thing to do is to forward
old accounts. Back when I first got Internet access it was just expected
that sysadmins would forward dead accounts. These days you ask and they
feed you some bullshit about how hard it is.. if they don't refuse
outright.
