Who's bickering?
"Bickering" is spelled with an 'i', by the way, and it would probably be the
Attorney *General's* office, not that it's that important. If you *really*
needed network access, most people on this list can still use the UMC
no-charge modem pool.
I toyed around with the idea of getting two PCMCIA modems for my laptop and
bonding them. :-) Both Windows (>=Win98) and Linux will do it, and it
would be a great workaround for cable modem problems. I've noticed that
MediaCom's cable modem service hasn't been all that stable lately anyway -
possibly because of the recent cold snaps. The possibility of their losing
the @Home contract only adds impetus to the idea.
