Yes, that whole thing was pretty weird. I'll point out, though, that
people who used @home email addresses (e.g., my wife...) are still in
a lurch as of 9:45 pm today. I did make a point this morning of calling
the mediacom (really ATT) support number for @home and ask them what the
heck was going on. Yes, I knew that thousands of others would be doing
the same thing, and that the human I reached could have no very useful
information, but I know they log all of this stuff, and somebody at ATT
probably had a heart attack today when they found out that their lines
were completely jammed with incensed customers all morning. Note that
this means something very special if it's an ATT phone support center. :-)
Anyway, I wasn't completely surprised when DNS came up as quickly as
it did.
