I am running RedHat 7.2 and ran the same commands and it came back
with the correct times. Try again, maybe they had a problem when you
were querying them. Who knows maybe one sets off the other.

Subject: [MLUG] wrong NIST time?
Does anyone know why every time server I query returns the time 12
hours
from now?
[root]# rdate -p time-a.timefreq.bldrdoc.gov
[time-a.timefreq.bldrdoc.gov] Wed Nov 7 23:10:26 2001
[root]# rdate -p time-a.nist.gov
[time-a.nist.gov] Wed Nov 7 23:12:29 2001
The system time is correct and I'm using RedHat 7.2. When I try it
from
other machines, I get 11 am, not 11 pm. Is this yet another problem
with
RedHat 7.2? I couldn't find any info about it so far.
