No, Michael is trying to repartition a SINGLE drive.  LVM is for multiple 
drives/partitions and it is much more serious and more difficult to use.  
Someone else was discussing RAID, but that is IMO quite cumbersome (and it's 
a hardware solution).  Besides, the IDE RAID stuff is mostly software-based 
so performance won't be too good.  The promise fast trak card is the one you 
can hack to be a RAID controller.
