A new version of WinSCP was just released (see message appended below).
A list of new features is here: http://winscp.vse.cz/eng/history.php
This new version is much improved. For one, the author took my
recommendation and added ASCII/Binary transfers and a few other things
that I had asked for.
You can install it in the same way as the earlier version, but can do a
few more things with it -- set up sessions, including password,
directores, etc. (Tip -- leave the remote directory blank and don't use
'~' because that causes an error.) It uses a different icon and it has a
lot more options than the earlier version. When you transfer a file, look
at "More >>" to see some of your options. It will do automatic conversion
of text files with extensions of .txt, .htm*, .php, .cgi, .bas, .c and
.cpp, which can be good. It does drag and drop and supports an Explorer-
style interface. It's way better than before.
