Have to correct myself here: I didn't have a Windows machine when
writing the above. The clients should be set to "Share-level access
control" in Network Configuration since "User-level" allows you to
obtain user lists from the domain (which Samba didn't support last time
I checked). If you have an NT domain controller, that's a different
story.
