You don't want to get ipfwadm working.  It is a tool for the now-obsolete 
2.0.* kernels.  Mandrake 8.0 has either the 2.4 kernel or the 2.2 kernel.  
You can find out by doing "uname -r".  Also, there is a tool to let you set 
up connection sharing in DrakConf, but I don't know how screwy or non-screwy 
it is.
